I enter students for ABRSM exams, which they take at the exam centre at Elvet Methodist Church in Durham.
I enjoy working towards an exam, it's great to see students stretch themselves, and achieve good results — I have a 100% pass rate!
When a student is ready to start preparing for an exam, we work on the exam syllabus, which includes:
Exam pieces are enjoyable to learn, but challenging too, so we usually learn fun pieces such as duets alongside them.
Two or three weeks after the exam, the results and certificates come out. Students have put in a lot of work, so passing their exam is a big achievement.
